Audrey E. Smith has developed a 28-year career servicing the health needs of Michigan communities by becoming an expert in health care delivery systems. Audrey started her career as an administrator at the Henry Ford Health System in the Department of Pediatrics.
Audrey used her knowledge & experience to start her own business called the Angel Engagement Group, which partnered with healthcare plans to improve the health and well-being of children & families. After a successfully running her business for ten years, Audrey became the General Manager of Detroit’s Public Health Department. She then was the Director of Integrated Health Services for the Detroit Wayne Mental Health Authority.
Audrey is currently the Chief Operating Officer for the Family Medical Center of Michigan (FMC). Under her leadership, FMC successfully implemented 11 school based behavioral health centers and medication assisted treatment services to reduce the opioid epidemic crisis in rural Michigan communities. She was recently featured on NPR Stateside.
Audrey obtained a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Michigan. She received her Bachelors of Science from Michigan State University. Audrey is married to Curtis D. Smith and has two adult children.
Kymberlyn James-Brown

Kymberlyn James-Brown is currently an Operations Consultant for Medical Groups and Provider Services at Trinity Health. Accountable for the implementation of projects and standardization throughout medical practices. Kymberlyn has been with Trinity Health since 2010, starting in Patient Financial Services as a Data Management Analyst. Prior to Trinity Health Kymberlyn worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) as a Senior Financial Analyst.
She is a member of the Women's Inclusion Network (W.I.N.) where she served as Treasurer for three years. Kymberlyn is a Certified Business Intelligence Specialist, has a B.A. in Business Administration and a Master of Science Management (MSM) from Walsh College.
Lanie Dixon, IOE, MBA

Lanie (pronounced "Lonnie") has excelled in roles as a project manager, consultant, Management Engineer and Process Improvement professional throughout her career. Her initial work in the IT web development industry boosted her career as a programmer, tester, release coordinator, project manager, and systems analyst. Her previous experience at Henry Ford Health System has made her highly knowledgeable in healthcare labor bench marking, Lean methodologies including Six Sigma and 5S and clinical process improvement.
As Director of Performance Excellence and Patient Experience at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland, she leads her team to drive results-oriented, value-based improvements in key strategic areas to achieve triple aim results. This requires coaching and knowledge transfer to leaders and staff on problem-solving methodologies for continuous, sustained improvement and conducting project/opportunity assessment and advanced data analysis.
An alumna of the University of Michigan Ann Arbor College of Engineering and Flint School of Management, Lanie is a previous president of the Institute of Industrial Engineers Greater Detroit Chapter #47, charter member and former president of Henry Ford Health System's Women's Improvement Network, a former Board Member of Teen H.Y.P.E.; and former University of Michigan Black Alumni Treasurer. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority, Incorporated® where she currently serves as President of the Lambda Pi Omega Chapter in Detroit and on the International Technology Committee. She also serves on the Quality and Accountability and Patient Family Centered Care Committees of the Michigan Hospital Association. When not working or serving her community, she likes to cook, read suspense thriller novels and enjoy downtime with her husband Michael and daughters Micah and Ella.

Evan Bailey

Evan D. Bailey is the Group Practice Director for General and Bariatric Surgery at Henry Ford Health System. In this role, he’s responsible for product line growth and strategy while also spearheading initiatives to improve patient satisfaction, quality, and access to care. Prior to his current role, Bailey worked in various capacities throughout Henry Ford Health System. Most recently, he completed the Administrative Fellowship Program with Henry Ford Medical Group. Before that, Evan worked as a project manager and intern to the health system CEO.
Bailey is a native of Kansas City, Missouri. He received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Business of Administration from Florida A&M University, School of Business and Industry. Evan is a product of the Bluford Healthcare Leadership Institute, started by John W. Bluford, and has been a member of NAHSE for 2 years. In his spare time he enjoys traveling, good BBQ and sports.
Taylor Clark, MHSA

Taylor Clark is a Diversity & Inclusion Management Fellow at Trinity Health System Office in Livonia, Michigan. She attended the University of Michigan where she earned both her Master of Health Services Administration (MHSA) from the School of Public Health, and her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Organizational Studies. Taylor is passionate about serving vulnerable and marginalized populations through strategic planning, community involvement, and administrative work within the healthcare industry.
